Suppliers

MRG Connections has a number of quality and reliable New Zealand based suppliers. We work very closely with each supplier to ensure that we can offer our customers the best quality and most consistent Radiata Pine products.  Please find below a list of suppliers

Taranakipine

The company has evolved over the past 60 years from a small family-owned founding business, Tongariro Timber, based at National Park and processing native logs, into Taranakipine based in New Plymouth processing plantation-grown Radiata Pine.

Taranakipine draw the majority of their logs from the Taranaki region, and work closely with local forest owners and suppliers to ensure the quality of raw material. Timber is a renewable product source and all their New Zealand Radiata pine logs come from sustainable managed, renewable plantation forests.

Kiwi Lumber

Kiwi Lumber is a privately owned New Zealand company operating three modern sawmills located in the North Island of New Zealand. Our three mills located at Putaruru, Dannevirke and Masterton have a combined production of 120,000 m3 of sawn timber output per annum, with the capacity to kiln dry and planer finish all of our production.

Kiwi Lumber's modern sawmills are strategically situated close to the large commercial plantings in the Hawke’s Bay/Wairarapa and the Central Plateau of the North Island. These areas represent significant commercially grown forests, which are well serviced by professional contractors, harvesters and forest managers to ensure that customers have access to some of the best renewable timber resources available.

The radiata pine milled by Kiwi Lumber is sourced entirely from renewable plantations and complies with all New Zealand environmental management policies. Kiwi Lumber’s two Appearance Grade mills are also FSC certified meaning that you can rely on our wood products always being sourced from well managed forests.

East Coast Lumber

East Coast Lumber is located in Wairoa on the East Coast of the North Island, situated between Napier and Gisborne in New Zealand. ECL is a family owned company (Taken over in April 2003), since the takeover ECL has doubled their output and added the drying site WTP.

ECL target markets include Australia, USA, Europe, New Zealand and South East Asia.   Lumber targeted at the Australian market is 25mm thick, primarily in wides and in Dressing Grade (Furniture Grade) and occasionally Clears.  The mill cuts 100% pruned logs from farmed Radaita pine logs and is FSC certified.

Westco Lumber

Westco Lumber specialise in manufacturing and marketing quality appearance-grade pinus radiata products. Their focus is on the furniture, joinery, moulding and millwork segments of the timber products market and are able to meet most grade, size and length requirements.

The Christchurch and Ruatapu sites have been in operation for over 40 years and the staff have a wealth of experience in producing quality timber.  Westco Lumbers supplies timber to companies throughout New Zealand, and also export timber to Australia, the USA, Asia, and Europe.

Westco Lumber focus on delivering value to their customers by consistently supplying high quality timber products, in full, on time and in spec.

Napier Pine

Napier is based in the Hawkes Bay region on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. Surrounded on three sides by renewable managed and sustainable forests, their facility is just minutes away from excellent road and sea links (via the Port of Napier) enabling them to efficiently deliver anywhere in the world.

As suppliers of high grade Radiata Pine sourced only from carefully managed renewable forests, Napier can be confident they are supporting New Zealand in ensuring the forests are sustainable and will meet their needs well into the future.

Their advanced automation systems allow for highly accurate cutting and flexible size options, better flow, greater efficiency and productivity. This makes Napier Pine more flexible in serving many different timber markets according to grade and cutting size.
